Abstract
Palembang City is an endemic area of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) with a high Case Fatality Rate (CFR) compared to other regencies/cities of 0.22%. Therefore, it is necessary to do a spatial analysis of DHF to produce information regarding the relationship between the region and disease incidence. This research is a descriptive epidemiological study with an ecological study design. The research population is all sub-districts in the administrative work area of Palembang City, totalling 18 districts. The data used is secondary data. The variables studied were IR DHF, population density, free larva index, rainfall, and the level of DHF susceptibility. Data analysis techniques are univariate and spatial using the QGis application. The data is then presented in the form of maps, tables, and diagrams, and narratives that interpret the data. The results showed that the distribution of IR DHF for 5 (five) years mainly occurred in the City Center area. The high IR distribution pattern (>50 per 100,000 population) indicates low free larva index (<95%), high population density (100-150 people/ha), and very high rainfall (>3000mm). The highest DHF susceptibility level occurred in 9 sub-districts in Palembang City at 26%. This study concludes that the population density variable, ABJ, rainfall has a relationship with the incidence of DHF which affects the level of DHF vulnerability in Palembang City in 2014 – 2018. Suggestions to the Palembang City Health Office to intervene to prevent dengue in areas with a high level of vulnerability.
