Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between Problem Focus Coping and Independent Learning in dealing with academic tasks for Guidance and Counseling Students Class of 2020,. This research is a correlational quantitative study with a population of 82 people, this study uses a saturated sample where all populations are sampled. The data collection method was carried out using the Problem Focus Coping scale and the Learning Independence scale obtained through the Google Form application, the data analysis used in this study using Person-Product Moment with the help of SPSS Version 22. From the results of data analysis, the correlation coefficient rcount ( rxy ) = 0.727 with rtable= 0.217 (rcount > rtable) meaning that there is a strong positive relationship between Problem Focus Coping and Independent Learning in dealing with academic tasks. Where the higher the Problem Focus Coping, the higher the Learning Independence, the higher the Learning Independence, the higher the Problem Focus Coping. Then it can be said that the two variables are related
