Abstract

ARI is one of the highest diseases in South Sumatra Province. Since 2015 this disease has become the top 5 diseases suffered by the people of Ogan Ilir Regency. In fact, Ogan Ilir Regency is included in the 10 Regencies / Cities with the largest cases of ARI incidence in South Sumatra Province. An analysis of the ARI disease situation in Ogan Ilir Regency is needed using spatial analysis to present information on individual factors and environmental factors that tend to contribute to the occurrence of ARI disease better. This study aims to determine the frequency and map the distribution of ARI disease along with individual characteristics and environmental factors based on the area of Ogan Ilir Regency in South Sumatra Province in 2019-2020. The design of this research study isecological study with a Geographical Information System (GIS) approach. The results showed that the high incidence of ARI during 2019-2020 showed a tendency to be more concentrated in the northern and southern regions, in the district (Rambang Kuang, Tanjung Batu and Indralaya). Then there is a pattern of the spread of ARI incidence, where the same ARI incidence rate occurs in adjacent areas. Meanwhile, the pattern of the spread of ARI disease on individual characteristics and environmental factors tends to be negative or there is no relationship between the occurrence of ARI with individual characterictics and enviromental factors. So that efforts can be started to overcome the problem of ARI through handling in the District with the highest cases then proceed with the area around it. As well as improving cooperation with various sectors in carrying out surveillance, thus helping to realize better data availability.
