Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi bokashi sebagai bahan pengganti pupuk buatan pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.) pada Ultisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2007 di Rumah Kaca Jurusan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Analisis tanah dan tanaman dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia, Biologi, dan Kesuburan Tanah Jurusan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang perlakuannya disusun secara faktorial dengan 3 ulangan dan 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu faktor pertama pupuk Bokashi (kontrol, 2,5%, 5%, dan 10% kg bokashi polybag'1), faktor kedua yaitu pupuk N PK dengan taraf pemberian yaitu kontrol, /a x dosis anjuran (0,281 g Urea polybag'1 + 0,187 g SP-36 polybag'1 + 0,187 g KC1 polybag)* 'A x dosis anjuran (0,562 g Urea polybag'1 + 0,375 g SP-36 polybag'1 + 0,375 g Rd polybag'1) dan 1 x dosis anjuran (1,125 g Urea polybag'1 + 0,75 g SP-36 polybag'1 + 0,75 g KC1 polybag'1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa takaran bokashi pada B3 (10% BO) merupakan takaran yang terbaik untuk meningkatkan pH tanah, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman selada. Interaksi perlakuan B3Pq memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi yang terbaik pada tanaman selada. Bokashi dapat menggantikan pupuk buatan untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada.
