Abstract
Premarital sex is a problem that adolescents about should know. Adolescents' curiosity about sex causes the risk of having premarital sex. Health education in adolescents to prevent having premarital sex. This study a determine the effect in knowledge prevent premarital sex before and after health education using the FGD method on adolescents. Health education can be carried out by various methods, one of which is a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The type of this study is a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and cluster sampling with 66 samples, which was carried out in 8,9,11, and 12 October 2021. Data collection used a premarital sex knowledge questionnaire. Statistical analysis of this study used the marginal homogeneity test with a significant level of α= 0.05. The Result showed that there is a effect in adolescent knowledge prevent premarital sex at SMA Negeri 1 West Semendawai before and after being given health education using the FGD method (p value =0,000). Health education using the FGD method can increase adolescents' knowledge prevent the prevention of premarital sex because there is an exchange of information and given a common perception of adolescents prevent premarital sex. Health education using the FGD method is one of the learning methods for adolescents about premarital sex health information.
