Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) to stock returns on the banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009- 2011. The data used in this study is a secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Indonesia Capital Market Directory 2009-2011. Data collection technique used is documentation methods, and analytical technique used is regression analysis technique. Hypothesis test used are F test (simultaneous test) and t test (partial test). The results showed that the variables Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) have a significant effect to stock retums, while the variable Non Performing Loan (NPL) had no significant effect to stock returns. Simultaneously showed that financial ratios have a significant effect to stock returns.
