Abstract

This study was to analyze the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value with capital structure as an intervening variable in food and beverages companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study amounted to 13 companies obtained by using purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression method using the SPSS application. The results showed that profitability and liquidity had a significant negative effect on capital structure while profitability, liquidity and capital structure had a significant positive effect on firm value. Capital structure can mediate the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value. The implication of this research is that companies can determine capital investment decisions in a company so that investors can get maximum profits by looking at the condition of the company's value and paying attention to the company's capital structure
