Abstract
PT. Global Alam Lestari (GAL) is a company that has a business license in production forests in the form of utilization of carbon storage and sequestration and has an area of about 22,840 hectares. PT. GAL has a river area which is a habitat for several species of fish as well as a source of food for the survival of fish. PT. GAL has waters including the largest river, namely the Lalan river and has tributaries including the Merang River, Kepayang River, Buring River, Tembeso Daro River and Canals so it is necessary to do research on Fish Inventory in the forest waters of PT. GAL. Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The research was carried out in June-July 2021, identification was carried out directly at PT. Global Alam Lestari. The research was conducted in 3 locations, namely the Buring River, Canals and Peat Swamp. Sampling was carried out using the Purpusive Random Sampling method, which is a sampling technique in which all individuals in the population either individually or jointly are given the same opportunity to be selected as sample members. Collecting fish species using fishing rods, lift net (embankment), umbrella trap (Umbrella trap), tajur, pottery and scoop net. Measurements of chemical and physical activity include measuring temperature, pH, DO, brightness and depth. Fish identification was carried out using morphometric measurements. The samples measured included total length, standard length, head length, head width, fin length, scale length and tail length. Samples were analyzed using qualitative methods and relative abundance indexes were analyzed using quantitative methods. The results of the research on fish species found in the PT. Gal as many as 27 species, 355 individuals belonging to 10 families and 5 orders including T. trichopterus, K. palembangensis, K. macrocephalus, M. bimaculatus, P. johorensis, P. pentazona, B. hasselti, C. bankanensis, C. striata, C. lucios, A. testudineus, L. pulcher, R. argyrotaenia, R. kalocroma, B. picta, B. belicca, B. edithae, P. gemelus, P. grooti, B. raja, T. gracillis, H. temmincki, W. leeri, T. vitata, S. phaisoma, D. pusilla, C. neiuhofii. And the results of the largest relative abundance of species were found in the Cyprinidae family with the highest percentage of 36% and the smallest, namely the Claridae and zenarchopteridae families at 1%. Keywords: Inventory, fish, purposive sampling, relative abundance value, morphometric measurement
