Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna simbol yang mengandung mitos dalam proses pernikahan adat suku Lintang di Desa Tebat Baru Ulu Kota Pagar Alam dan Implikasinya dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes dalam menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat dua simbol yang hanya memiliki makna denotasi yaitu simbol gotong-royong dan menyapu, terdapat tiga simbol yang hanya memiliki makna denotasi dan makna konotasi yaitu simbol ayam, buah tangan dan kain, terdapat dua simbol yang hanya memiliki makna denotasi dan mitos yaitu simbol bunga dan air, terdapat empat simbol yang memiliki makna denotasi, makna konotasi, dan juga mitos yaitu simbol emas, cabai, lada, dan kopi yang dapat dianalisis menggunakan bagan semiotika Roland Barthes.
