Abstract

The research was made in Telang Karya (P8-13S) in Muara Telang sub-district and Banyuasin district. The method used in the research was made directly in this area. The purpose of research is getting to know and count what degree of a concentration and a sedimentation occur in the secondary canal and in the tertiarycanal within the period and give a recommendation on efforts needed to managesedimentation in Telang Karya in Muara Telang sub-district and in Banyuasindistrict.Categories of sediment concentration in the secondary canal and in thetertiary canal in Telang Karya include the category of suspended sedimentconcentration (0-100 mg/1). The sediment debit occurs in front of the secondary canalis 13,66 ton/week, ST2 is 4,95 ton/week, ST4 is 3,59 ton/week, ST6 is 12,04ton/week, ST8 is 4,96 ton/week. The sediment debit occurs in a tertiary canal T2.1 is 1,22 ton/week, T4.1 is 0,26 ton/week, T6.1 is 0,04 ton/week, T8.1 is 1,01 ton/week and the sediment debit occurs in the tertiary canal is T2.2 is 0,95 ton/week, T4.2 is 0,67 ton/week, T6.2 is 0,42 ton/week, T8.2 is 0,18 ton/week.
