Abstract
This study aims to identify Trichoderma spp. With various concentrations fail in suppressing seedling disease (damping off) in pepper. This research has been conducted in the laboratory of Phytopathology and greenhouse department of plant pests and diseases Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from November 2009until may 2010.Natural ingredients used are : Trichoderma spp, Rhizoctonia solani isolatesmedia combination waste oil, bran, powder wood, and fiber oil palm empty firuit bunches. Tests conducted with three replications, each replication consistingof 10 pepper plants.Results showed that the provision of treatment with various concentrations of Trichoderma reproduced with different substrates proved to be effective in suppressing the pre-emergence damping-off ranged from 53,29 to 96,41%, post- emergence damping-off between 87,50 to 100% , the percentage of dead plants, between 62,50 to 95,83%, and severity of disease that is from 60,66 to 97,54%.
