Abstract

Suku Komering di Desa Rasuan memiliki banyak sekali potensi tumbuhan obat yang dapat digunakan untuk menyembuhkan berbagai macam penyakit, hal ini dikarenakan kondisi alamnya masih terjaga dengan baik. Mengingat khasiat tumbuhan obat yang terbukti menyembuhkan penyakit dan penggunaannya lebih efektif, efisien, aman dan ekonomis, maka sudah saatnya disosialisasikan kepada masyarakat secara terus-menerus, sehingga tertanam budaya menggemari tumbuhan obat sebagai pilihan yang sejajar dengan pengobatan medis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi dan mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat tradisional, mengetahui famili, habitus, indikasi penyakit, bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan, cara pengolahan dan cara penggunaan tumbuhan sebagai ramuan obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat suku Komering di Desa Rasuan.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2021 sampai dengan Juli 2021. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Desa Rasuan Kec. Madang Suku I Kab. OKU Timur Sumatera Selatan dan sampel tumbuhan diidentifikasi di Laboratorium Biosistematika, Jurusan Biologi, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei deskriptif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada 5 (lima) orang narasumber yang merupakan pengobat tradisional (battra) untuk membantu proses pengumpulan data di lapangan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat suku Komering di Desa Rasuan untuk mengobati berbagai penyakit berjumlah 77 jenis tumbuhan yang terdiri dari 46 jenis famili, dan jenis tumbuhan dengan famili terbanyak yaitu Zingiberaceae (8 jenis tumbuhan) serta mampu mengobati sebanyak 51 jenis penyakit dengan 86 jenis ramuan obat. Habitus tumbuhan obat terbanyak yaitu pohon (29 jenis tumbuhan) dan sumber perolehan tumbuhan obat terbanyak ditemukan secara budidaya (48 jenis tumbuhan). Bagian organ tumbuhan yang paling banyak digunakan yaitu daun (30 jenis ramuan), cara pengolahan terbanyak yakni dengan cara direbus (28 jenis ramuan) dan cara penggunaan yang paling banyak digunakan adalah dengan cara diminum (56 jenis ramuan). The Komering tribe in Rasuan Village has a lot of potential medicinal plants that can be used to cure various diseases, this is because their natural conditions are still well maintained. Considering the efficacy of medicinal plants that have been proven to cure diseases and their use is more effective, efficient, safe and economical, it is time to disseminate them to the public continuously, so that a culture of liking medicinal plants is embedded as an option that is parallel to medical treatment. This study aims to inventory and identify the types of plants used as traditional medicine, to know the family, habitus, disease indications, plant parts used, processing methods and how to use plants as medicinal herbs used by the Komering tribal community in Rasuan Village. This research was carried out from March 2012 to July 2021. Sampling was carried out in Rasuan Village, Madang District Tribe I, East OKU Regency, South Sumatra and plant samples were identified at the Plant Biosystematic Laboratory, Biology Department, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya.The research was conducted using a descriptive survey method by conducting interviews with 5 (five) resource persons who are traditional healers (battra) to assist the process of colecting data in the field.The results showed that the medicinal plants used by the Komering tribal community in Rasuan Village to treat various diseases amounted to 77 plant species consisting of 46 types of families, and the plant species with the most families were Zingiberaceae (8 species of plant) and were able to treat as many as 51 types of diseases with 86 kinds of medicinal herbs. The habitus of most medicinal plants is trees (29 species of plant) and source of obtaining the most medicinal plants is found in cultivation (48 species of plant). The most widely used parts if plant organs are leaves (30 types of herbs), the most processing method is by boiling (28 types of herbs), and the most widely used method of use is drinking (26 types of herbs).
