Abstract
Sintesis partikel Fe3O4 dengan bahan baku pasir tambang sungai Megang Musi Rawas telah dilakukan dengan metode kopresipitasi. Tahapan kopresipitasi meliputi penimbangan sampel, pelarutan dengan menggunakan HCl 20 ml, pengendapan dengan NH4OH 36,5 ml, pencucian dengan aquades dan pemanasan menggunakan furnace. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan variasi temperatur padasaat pelarutan dengan masing-masing suhu 45℃,60℃, dan 75℃. Variasi temperatur pada saat pelarutan dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh terhadap ukuran partikel yang dihasilkan. Dengan pengukuran menggunakan XRD, variasi suhu pada saat pelarutan ukuran kristal mengalami perubahan dengan hasil yang paling optimum yaitu pada suhu 45 ℃ dengan ukuran kristal sebesar 17,82 nm. Pada pengukuran menggunakan SEM-EDS didapatkan nilai kemurnian pasir besi sebesar 55,80 %.
