Abstract

This study aims to determine the absence of media influence Big Book to the skills of reading and writing simple sentences on the theme (v) clean and healthy life in class II SD Muhammadiyah 14 Palembang. this study used the method Pre-Experimental Designs (nondesigns) with one group pretest-posttest design. samples in this study amounted to 36 students of class II A. Research instruments in the form of capital letter writing tests, words, simple sentences and punctuation (dots, commas and punctuation). the influence of big book media seen from the average posttest is 72 and pretest and posttest words are normally distributed with the value of km 0,61 and -0,32. data analysis in this study using the pretest formula and posttest one group design obtained price ttabel=2,03 while thitung 12,09 with significant level 5%. Because thitung>ttabel then Ha is rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that there is big book media influence to the skills of reading and writing simple sentences on the theme (v) clean and healthy life in class II SD muhammadiyah 14 palembang.
