Abstract
A research on the effect of temperature on jatropha oil hydrocracking product with Co/Mo-Montmorillonit pillared Ti02 catalyst has been performed. Jatropha oil hydrocracking process performed on mole ratio of Co : Mo (1 : 2) and temperature conditions 425, 450, 475, 500, 525°C. Product analysis includes the percentage of product distribution, density, viscosity, and density of distilled products. Results showed the best product achieved at 525°C temperature with the percentage distribution of nonpolar liquid product (oil) 61.51 %, polar products (substances that dissolve in water) 0.94 %, 37.54 % of gas products, and asphaltene and coke products 0.0052 %; with density value 865.3 kg/m3; viscosity value 4.3087 xl010 Stokes; and density value of distilled products 752.4 kg/m3.
