Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Pengaruh Insektisida Diazinon terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Kokon Cacing Tanah Pontoscolex corethrurus Fr. Mull. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh insektisida diazinon pada konsentrasi yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kokon cacing tanah P. Corethrurus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan, Jurusan Biologi Fakultas MIPA Universitas Sriwijaya pada bulan September sampai dengan November 2011. Perlakuan pemberian pakan yaitu feses sapi dan insektisida diazinon. Perlakuan tersebut adalah feses sapi (kontrol); feses sapi + insektisida 1%; feses sapi + insektisida 2%; feses sapi + insektisida 3%; feses sapi + insektisida 4%, masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali ulangan. Percobaan ini menggunkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dan diuji lanjut dengan uji lanjut Duncan pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Flasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa insektisida diazinon dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan produksi kokon cacing tanah P. corethrurus. Pertambahan berat tubuh rata-rata paling tinggi terdapat pada konsentrasi 2% yaitu 0,377 ｱ 0,105 g/2 minggu, dan pertambahan berat tubuh rata-rata paling rendah pada konsentrasi 4% yaitu 0,377 ｱ 0,044 g/2 minggu. Produksi kokon ratarata cacing tanah P. corethrurus tertinggi setelah diberi perlakuan insektisida terdapat pada konsentrasi 1% yaitu 9,6 ｱ1,817 kokon/pot/2 minggu dan terendah pada konsentrasi 4% yaitu 5,6 ｱ 1,140 kokon/pot/2 minggu
