Abstract

Studi Komunitas Makrozoobentos di Aliran Cughup Embun Kota Pagar Alam Sumatera Selatan telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Mei hingga Agustus 2011. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas yang terdiri dari komposisi, kepadatan, keanekaragaman, dominansi, dan kesamaan komunitas pada tipe mikrohabitat yang berbeda. Penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Purposive Random Sampling 4 stasiun. Identifikasi sampel makrozoobentos dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Taksonomi Hewan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya, Inderalaya. Dari hasil yang didapatkan, dikelompokkan ke dalam 7 kelas makrozoobentos yaitu Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Insecta, Turbellaria, Crustacea, Hirudinea, dan Oligochaeta, yang tergolong ke dalam 15 ordo makrozoobentos yang terdiri dari 35 famili, 45 jenis. Kepadatan berkisar antara 1200 - 4200 individu/m . Tingkat keanekaragaman tergolong sedang, berkisar antara 1,37-2,66 dan tidak ditemukan spesies yang mendominansi. Struktur Komunitas antar stasiun relatif berbeda, yaitu berkisar antara 28,57%- 74,07%. Family Biotic Indeks (FBI) pada keempat stasiun berkisar antara 5,17-7,6 dengan kategori kualitas air dari sedang hingga sangat buruk.
