Abstract

Penelitian Inventarisasi dan Keanekaragaman Jenis Kupu-kupu dilaksanakan di Kawasan Kampus Universitas Sriwijaya Inderalaya, Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data jenis dan informasi tentang keanekaragaman jenis kupu-kupu di kawasan Kampus Universitas Sriwijaya Inderalaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode purposive random sampling dan koleksi pada bulan Mei-Juli 2012. Lokasi pengambilan sampel dibagi menjadi tiga zona, yakni zona 1 (lapangan terbuka), Zona II (lokasi perkuliahan), dan zona III (vegetasi alami). Parameter yang digunakan adalah indeks keanekaragaman, indeks dominansi, dan indeks kesamaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman kupu-kupu di kawasan ini tergolong sedang. Secara keseluruhan ditemukan sebanyak 30 jenis kupu-kupu dengan jumlah 288 individu yang terdiri atas 5 family, yaitu Papilionidae, Nymphalidae, Pieridae, Lycaenidae, dan Hesperiidae. Nilai rata-rata indeks keanekaragaman jenis kupu-kupu yang diperoleh adalah 1,183 yang berarti bahwa keanekaragaman tergolong sedang dengan kondisi komunitas yang masih stabil. Indek dominansi jenis kupu-kupu dengan nilai rata-rata 0.177 yang menunjukkan bahwa indeks dominansi rendah atau tidak adanya jenis kupu-kupu yang mendominasi wilayah tersebut. Dan kesamaan jenis tertinggi terdapat antara zona II dan zona III, yakni 66,67% yang berarti bahwa jenis antara kedua wilayah relatif sama.
