Abstract

Skripsi berjudul Neurosis Tokoh dalam Novel Negeri Para Bedebah Karya Tere Liye: Analisis Psikologi Sastra ini membahas masalah neurosis yang terjadi akibat adanya konflik batin yang dialami tokoh dengan menggunakan analisis psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan neurosis tokoh dalam novel Negeri Para Bedebah karya Tere Liye yang meliputi histeria (panik), fobia, perilaku obsesif-kompulsif dan tekanan pos-traumatik serta unsur intrinsik berupa karakter tokoh dengan menemukan gejala neurosis. Penelitian ini diharapkan bermanfaat sebagai tolak ukur, motivator, dan gambaran dalam mengartikan makna yang terkandung dalam novel melalui analisis psikologi sastra. Untuk pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis data dan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan meneliti unsur psikologi yaitu gejala neurosis serta unsur intrinsik berupa tokoh dan penokohan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriftif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konflik batin yang dialami tokoh teijadi karena faktor internal akibat psike lemah, kurang kasih sayang, dan rendah diri, dan faktor eksternal akibat penolakan dunia luar, pengalaman traumatik, proses belajar yang salah, dan penyimpangan. Tokoh Thomas mengalami beberapa gejala neurosis seperti (1) histeria, (2) fobia, (3) perilaku obsesif-kompulsif, dan (4) tekanan pos-trauma. Tokoh Thomas terus mencoba mencapai kepuasan merebut Bank Semesta akibat proses belajar yang menyimpang. Kondisi tersebut membuat tokoh Thomas bertingkahlaku yang tidak konstruktif dan cenderung bersikap kontroversial. Selain Thomas ada beberapa tokoh lain yang mengalami neurosis yaitu Om Liem, Ibunda Thomas dan Ramlan. terus-menerus Kata kunci: neurosis tokoh, novel, analisis psikologi sastra
