Abstract

The research was to identify the species of fruit fly and its parasitoid of s tar fruit in District Indralaya and District Seberang Ulu II. The research was conducted in Tanjung Seteko, Tanjung Gelam, Sakatiga District Indralaya and Talang Karet, Talang Kemang, Talang Banten District Seberang Ulu II from November 2005 until February 2006.The research was used survey method by taking over S tar fruit wich was infected by fruit fly intentionally. Research result was arranged in tabulation. Parameter of observation including identification of the fruit flies and parasitoids species, quantity of fruit flies and parasitoids in one star fruit. The results showed that there’s only one species of fruit fly on star fruit they are Bactrocera dorsalis (Hend). The parasitoids which found divided into two species, Psyttalia concolor (Szepligeti) and Fopius arisanus (Sonan).
