Abstract

Studi sebaran nutrien (Nitrat, Fosfat, dan Silikat) di lapisan permukaan perairan Teluk Hurun telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli tahun 2006 dengan menggunakan metode survey. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan dan sebaran nutrient di lapisan permukaan perairan Teluk Hurun. Penentuan titik sampling dengan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Pengukuran sampel air laut dan parameter lingkungan dilakukan secara insitu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kisaran kandungan nitrat 0,042 s.d 0,66 mg/1 diikuti dengan nilai kisaran kandungan fosfat 0.02 s.d 0,2 mg/1 dan nilai kisaran silikat 0,22 s.d 0,71 mg/1. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dilapangan sebaran nutrien (Nitrat, Fosfat dan Silikat) sangat dipengaruhi oleh daratan dan aktivitas tambak. Kandungan nutrien yang bervariasi merupakan pengaruh dari faktor lingkungan seperti suhu, salinitas, arus dan kandungan oksigen terlarut. Kata Kunci: Nutrien, Teluk Hurun
