Abstract
The objective of the research was to know the ability of compost extract in suppressing the growth of Aspergillus flavus Link, Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) Bult. Et Bisb, Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht and Rigidoporus lignosus (Klotzch) Imazeki. The research was conducted in Phytopathological Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Inderalaya, from December 2004 to April 2005. The research was arranged in a Factorial Competely Randomised Design. The first factor was isolate pathogenic fungy (A. flavus, C. capsici, F. oxysporum and R. lignosus) and the second factor was compost extract application (With and without bacterial filter). The parameters observed were suppressed the fungal growth and sporulation. The result showed that the growth suppresion occured against A. flavus (83,48%), C. capsici (76,59%), F. oxysporum (67,95%) and R. lignosus (72,37%). The better way of applying compost extract was without bacterial filter 0,2 pm.
