Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Direct Expenditure Budget Performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palembang City in 2020, which aims to find out what factors cause the direct expenditure budget, especially capital expenditures at the Palembang City Population and Civil Registration Office in 2020, cannot be realized. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. The collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study uses Mahmudi's theory which consists of 3 indicators, namely, Shopping Variance Analysis, Shopping Harmony Analysis and Shopping Efficiency Analysis. From the results of the research on the Performance of the Direct Expenditure Budget at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palembang City in 2020 using 3 indicators, firstly, the analysis of the expenditure variance is known to have poor performance because there are still some that are not realized, the second is that the compatibility analysis of expenditures is not found to be compatible with expenditures from operations and expenditures. capital expenditures, the three expenditure efficiency analyzes are known to be still efficient but not realized. In order for the budget performance in the coming year to be better, the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palembang City needs to improve the ability of human resources, especially in the financial sector to be more skilled in managing the budget so that the problems faced do not occur again.
