Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Pengembangan Budidaya Laut (BBPBL) Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan waktu terang gelap (L : D) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Analisis statistik dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh pemberian periode penyinaran terhadap pertumbuhan Tetraselmis sp dilakukan uji F (ANOVA) dan uji BNT 1%. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa periode penyinaran mempengaruhi secara sangat nyata terhadap kepadatan populasi, laju pertumbuhan relatif dan waktu generasi pertumbuhan serta uji klorofil. Perlakuan D menghasilkan kepadatan populasi tertinggi 442 x 104 sel/ml, laju pertumbuhan relatif sebesar 0,540 dan waktu generasi sebesar 43,263 jam. Kata kunci : Tetraselmis sp, periode penyinaran, kepadatan populasi.
