Abstract

The objectives of the research natural enemy on ornamental crop. The research was condencted in Palembang from December 2006 to Febuary 2007. The experiment was survey method to collect the were aphids and its natural enemy. Ornamental crop represent the crop having value of ist beauty and certain fascination. Besides, ornamental crop also have the economic value for the decorator of indoors and outdoors and can be laboured to become a business giving big advantage. This research was carried out in laboratory of fest and disease of flant Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The results showed there were 14 ornamental crop attached by aphids. It was found eight Aphid spesies Aphis gossypii, Aphis craccivora, Aphis pomi, Macrosiponiella Sp, Toxoptera Aurantii, Macrosiphum Sp, Toxoptera citricidus, Brachycaudus sp. The four teen ornamental crop were Anthutium sp, Bougainvillea sp, Callistephus sp, Canaga odonata L, Chrysanthemum sp, Ficus benyamina L, Gynura divaricata L, Jasminum sp, Komaria sp, Lantana sp, Lolina sp, Musaenda sp, Pachystcahys sp, Rosa sp. The results also showed there were aphids which associated with ant.
