Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendisain alat destilasi energi surya dengan menggunakan konsentrator energi surya tipe parabola sebagai pengumpul panas matahari dan menganalisis kapasitas destilasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juli 2007 di Bengkel Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. Lokasi pengujian alat dilaksanakan pada lahan terbuka di Kebun Percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya 27 Juni sampai dengan 6 Juli 2007. Hasil pengujian alat destilasi energi surya mulai tanggal 27 Juni 2007 sampai dengan tanggal 6 Juli 2007 didapat nilai perubahan suhu ruang evaporator berkisar antara 28° C sampai 92° C, suhu titik fokus parabola antara 32° C sampai 142° C dan jumlah air hasil destilasi antara 96 ml sampai 233 ml. Perubahan nilai beberapa parameter diatas dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti, intensitas cahaya matahari (lux) dengan intensitas cahaya matahari rata-rata per hari antara 51257,14 lux sampai 84971,43 lux dan lama penyinaran matahari yaitu berkisar rata-rata antara 43 % sampai 96 %.
