Abstract
The research of manufacturing and performance test membrane Cd and Zn Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE) with chitin ionophore, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) support matrix and dioctylphthalate (DOP) plasticizer or acetophenon has been done. The membrane Cd ISE and Zn were made by mixing 0.075 g of chitin, 0.25 g of lithium chloride (LiCl), 6 g of N, N-dimethyl acetamide (DMA), 6 g of 1-methyI-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), 0.075 g of PVC and 0.0444 g plasticizer DOP or acetophenon. The results of the research for Cd ISE and Zn showed that using acetophenon caused to increase of sensitivity. Increasing of sensitivity for showed that with decreasing slop sensitivity of 33.3 mV/decade to 26.59 mV/decade in the concentration range of 10^-10'1 M and for Zn ISE ffom 37.3 mV/decade to 29.35 mV/decade in the concentration range of 10'5-101 M. The change of selectivity which the ion should be interference in the measurement of the sample is no longer be interference of ion. The used of DOP plasticizer in the membrane Cd and Zn didn’t produced good ISE.
