Abstract
According to Law No.05 of 1974, the regional government experienced in different class of development than the previous period, including the Palembang City Region. For this reason the research entitled The Development Of The Dahlan HY’s Government Era In Palembang City in 1978-1983 was discussed. This study was focused on how Dahlan HY’s efforts to develop the government in Palembang City, the obstacles that ware faced, and the achievements obtained by Mayor Dahlan H.Y in evolving the government of Palembang City in 1978-1983. The object of this study was to find out how the development of Palembang City government during Dahlan H.Y era in 1978-1983. Based on the results conducted in this study, it showed that Dahlan H.Y was succeeded in developing the government of Palembang City through the programs he runs.
