Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of HOTS-based Civics Education (Higher Order Thinking Skills) at UPT SMAN 2 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir. There were 2 (two) informants in this study who were PPKn teachers at UPT SMAN 2 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir with the determination of informants in this study using a non-probability sampling technique of total sampling. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Collecting data in this study using documentation, observation, and interviews. The data validity test includes the credibility test, transferability test, dependability test and confirmability test. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it is known that the Implementation of HOTS-Based Civics Learning (Higher Order Thinking Skills) is in a fairly good category, it can be seen from the score of 3 indicators with an average value of 75.5%. So the results of this study show that PPKN teachers at UPT SMAN 2 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir have implemented HOTS-based Civics learning.
