Abstract

Porang plant is a tuber plant belonging to the Araceae family because it has spathe and spadix in its flowers. Cultivation of porang plants is very easy because it does not require much special treatment, the porang plants are easy to grow in various soil conditions. Porang disease that often appears is the fungal disease Fusarium oxysporum with the general characteristics of elongated fine threads, insulated or not called hyphae, while a collection of hyphae threads is called mycelium. This research was carried out at PT. Palembaja Limau, Banyuasin District, Banyuasin Regency, from May 2021 to July 2021. This research was carried out using a case study method with purposive sampling. The sample was identified in the Phytopathology Laboratory, Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The results showed that the cause of fruit rot disease in porang plants was the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. The result of the highest average percentage of fruit rot disease was in subplot A with an average attack percentage of 62.5% and the lowest was in plot C with an average attack percentage of 37.5%. and the intensity of fruit rot disease on porang plants was 60.41%.
