Abstract

The research of The Identification and Total Scattered of Vibrio in Banyuasin River Estuarine of Banyuasin Regency South Sumatera has been done from July 2006 to October 2006. The objectives of the research were to know variety and total scattered of Vibrio and the connected of oceanography condition in Banyuasin River Estuarine. The method was conduct by sampling in Banyuasin River Estuarine and analysis in laboratory such as gram analysis, TSIA test, methyl re d test, and carbohydrate fermentation test and Vibrio cell accounting. The result from isolation of Vibrio by spread plate was found 4 isolates, that were Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio alginolyticus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and Vibrio vulnificus. The result of accounting cell of Vibrio was shown variated number of Vibrio. The largest number was found in 2^ station, that is 34,3 x 104 and the less number of Vibrio was found in 5* station, that is 1,6 x 104. Oceanography condition in all station was not so different, but it was optimum for Vibrio growth in waters.
