Abstract

The community structure of coral reefs research was conducted on August 2008 at territorial water Sempit Island, Semak Daun Island, and Gosong Layar Island Archipelago of Seribu, DKI Jakarta Province. The aim of this research was to analyze the community structure of coral reef and abundance of Coral reefs at Sempit Island[ Semak Daun Island, and Gosong Layar Island that included percentage coverage of coral reef mortality index, abundance, diversity index, evenness index, and dominance indeks. The method that used was Line Intercept Transect Method with 50 meter line transect and belt transect method with 2 x 50 meter in 5 meter and 10 meter depth at three research stations. The result of this research showed that the physics and chemistry water parameter s value in each station still support coral reef habitat. Percentage coverage of coral reef 28,30-66,94%. The highest value of abundant coral reef was in 10 meter depth at Semak Daun Island (2,83), and the lowest value was in 5 meter depth (0,66). The Highest diversity index at Gosong Layar Island was in 10 meter depth (3,596), and the lowest value was at Sempit Island in 5 meter depth (2,860). The highest index variety was at Sempit Island was in 10 meter depth (1,040), and the lowest value at Sempit Island was in 5 meter depth (0,767). Dominance of genus that found at Sempit Island, Semak daun Island and Gosong layar Island were porites, montipora, acropora, fungia, danfavites.
