Abstract
With the increase in population along with the development of industry and trade with economic growth rates ranging from 5.11% to 6.01% through the leading sector, Musi Rawas Regency has issues and problems in the field of waste management. The lack of public awareness of the importance of waste management as well as the lack of facilities and service coverage make the waste problem worth highlighting. Many waste points in the form of illegal TPS have sprung up due to the lack of solid waste services. From these problems, this study is planned to develop waste transportation to the Simpang Gegas TPA, Musi Rawas Regency to expand the service area in the hope of reducing the potential for environmental pollution. The study was conducted by analyzing the existing condition of the solid waste service in Musi Rawas Regency, calculating the need for waste vehicles until 2026, and adding additional waste service routes. In observing the existing condition, of the 8 sub-districts that are within the scope of TPA services, only 2 sub-districts receive services with 13.96 tons of transported waste per day using SCS (static container system). Alternative planning uses the SCS and HCS (hauled container system) systems based on the realistic target of adding 2 vehicles to transport waste in Musi Rawas Regency per year, with a total of 10 dump trucks with SCS or as many as 5 arm roll trucks if using HCS. The development and expansion of waste transportation are carried out by adding 10 new routes for transporting waste using SCS or 5 transportation routes with HCS criteria.
