Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Pengaruh Pemberian Feses Sapi dan Feses Kambing Terhadap Laju Konsumsi dan Efisiensi Asimilasi Cacing Tanah Pontoscolex coreihrurus Fr. Mull. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2012, bertempat di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan, Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNSRI. Perlakuan pemberian pakan yaitu 100% feses sapi, 75% feses sapi + 25% feses kambing, 50% feses sapi + 50% feses kambing, 25% feses sapi + 75% feses kambing, 100% feses kambing. Masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan 5 kali ulangan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan dilanjutkan Uji Duncan dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Masa percobaan laju konsumsi dan efisiensi asimilasi cacing tanah Pontoscolex coreihrurus selama 72 jam (3 hari). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa laju konsumsi dan efisiensi asimiasi P. coreihrurus dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan pakan yang diberikan. Laju konsumsi dari cacing tanah P. coreihrurus tertinggi didapatkan pada pemberian pakan 25% feses sapi + 75% feses kambing yaitu 27,83 ± 7,39 mg/g berat tubuh/hari dan yang terendah pada pemberian pakan 100% feses sapi 19,29 ± 2,27 mg/g berat tubuh/hari. Efisiensi asimilasi cacing tanah P. corethrurus tertinggi didapatkan pada pemberian pakan 100% feses sapi 15,47 ± 2,94% dan terendah pada pemberian 50% feses sapi + 50% feses kambing 13,58 ± 0,94.
