Abstract
Intercalation of polyoxornetalate HsI’a-PWiiOwj'/iHzO on Zn-Al layered double hydroxide. Tle results intcTcalated Zn-Al layered double hydroxide uith polyoxometalate E3(a-PW12O10] nfbO was chamcterized using FT-lR spectrophoiometer and XRD. The research results using fT-lR spectr0photomcter characterzittion Show the wave number 10S0.14 cm*1,987,5 cm'1 and 887,2 cnJ which sho\vs the vibration of P-O≫ W-0 and W-Oc-W. The result using XRD character zdtion was showed a t^ical difraetion e peak at 26 11,837° vvith btsal spasing 7.47A and also a new difiraetion peak appears at 26 18,50° with btsal spasing 4,793A. Zn-Al layered double hydroxide intercatated by polyoxometalate H3[a-PWi204o]*nH20 was applicd as the adsorbent of cadmium (II) in aqueous produce 0,0479 (menit'1) of the adsorption rate, for the largest of the adsorption capacity (b) 0,46 mg/g at 70 °C, the largest adsorption er.ergy 7,47 kJ/mol at 30 5C. The largest of the enihalpy (AH) and entropy (AS) 46,93 kJ/mol and 0,134 kJ/rnol intercalat jd by polyoKometalate Hj[a-PWi2()4o]*≪H20 compound locatecd at pH 5 and not much differe it from the 3oint zero charge pH the result at pH 6.
