Abstract

Knowledge is something that is very important and influential for an organization. An organization will make progress when knowledge has been managed properly. Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (DPPKB) Kota Palembang is an implementing agency for government affairs in the field of Family Planning Control which is domiciled and responsible to the Mayor through the Regional Secretary. DPPKB Kota Palembang has knowledge assets that have not been stored properly which results in the knowledge search process taking a long time and some knowledge assets being lost and the knowledge sharing process not running optimally. Knowledge Management is a management function that can create or place knowledge, manage the flow of knowledge within the organization and ensure that knowledge is used effectively and efficiently for the long-term benefit of the organization. Knowledge Management System is an information system that is considered as the driver of Knowledge Management. The implementation of the Knowledge Management System at the DPPKB Kota Palembang is expected to support the government's human resource management process to achieve the goals of bureaucratic reform in developing professional government human resources.
