Abstract

Penelitian ini beijudul pengaruh latihan push up terhadap hasil chest pass bola basket putra kelas VII SMP Negeri 41 Palembang bertujuan untuk mengetahui siswa seberapa besar pengaruh latihan push up terhadap hasil chest pass siswa putra kelas VIII SMP Negeri 41 Palembang. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan pretst-posttest randomized control group design dengan variabel bebas latihan push up, variabel terikat hasil chest pass, dan variabel kendali jenis kelamin menggunakan siswa putra. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa putra kelas VII yang berjumlah 60 siswa yang dibagi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen 30 siswa dan kelompok kontrol 30 siswa. Dalam menentukan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol peniliti menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan menggunakan ordinalpairing. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Pada setiap kelompok, tes diberikan di awal sebelum perlakuan dan diakhiri setelah diberi perlakuan. Perlakuan di kelompok eksperimen berupa latihan push up, setelah diberi perlakuan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 3 kali seminggu kelompok eksperimen mengalami kenaikan. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan cara statistik uji t dengar taraf signifikan a = 0,05 di dapat thitung = 7,9845 dan ttabei = 1,662, apabila thitung > ttabei maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sehingga thitung = 7,9845 > ttabei = 1,662 dengan demikian Ha yang diajukan dapat diterima kebenarannya, bahwa latihan push up berpengaruh terhadap hasil chest pass siswa putra kelas VIII SMP Negeri 41 Palembang.
