Abstract
Academic resilience is the ability of students to be able to survive in the face of academic demands that can have an impact on academic achievement. This study aims to see the relationship between academic resilience and academic achievement of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Palembang. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. With a sample of 181 students using random sampling technique. The research instrument used is the academic resilience scale and documentation. The results of this study are that most students experiencing academic resilience are in the low category with a percentage (28%) while academic achievement is in the moderate category with a percentage (51%) then the correlation coefficient is 0.237 so it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between academic resilience with the academic achievement of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Palembang, which means the higher the academic resilience, the higher the academic achievement. Based on these results, it is expected to provide an overview for teachers and related parties to be able to pay more attention to students academic achievements by providing interesting learning and providing demands that are in accordance with what they are learning.
