Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan instrumen Thermal Concept Evaluation (TCE) dengan berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 26 butir soal untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa di SMA IT Al-Furqon Palembang pada materi suhu dan kalor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuntitatif yang dikelompokkan menjadi tiga tingkat kategori pemahaman dengan kategori tinggi, lemah dan gagal. Lalu menentukan miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan 1) Tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor di SMA IT AlFurqon Palembang berada pada kategori lemah sebanyak 73,33% siswa, dan kategori gagal sebanyak 26,67%, 2) Persentase rata-rata miskonsepsi paling tinggi berada pada konsep konduktivitas panas dan kesetimbangan yaitu sebanyak 79,52%, 3) Persentase rata-rata jawaban benar siswa paling tinggi terdapat pada konsep mendidih yaitu sebanyak 46,67%..
