Abstract

Communication strategy is planning in delivering the message is through a combination to make the message conveyed easy to understand and understand also change attitudes and behavior according to the purpose of communication. The research conducted is limited to the KPU's communication strategy in increasing public awareness of the continuous updating of the voter list at the Prabumulih City KPU. This research is assisted by using the theory of communication strategy from R. Wayne De Peterson by using three parameters, namely the understanding of the message, the receipt of the message, and the motivation to do something. Where the communication strategy is seen from the theoretical parameters of the communication strategy, based on this, the contribution of the KPU Prabumulih City and the people of Prabumulih City to achieve the goal of the communication strategy in increasing public awareness of continuous updating of the voter list.
