Abstract

Pabrik Propil Asetat direncanakan berlokasi di daerah Cilegon, Banten. Pabrik ini meliputi area seluas 6 Ha dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 80.000 ton per tahun. Proses pembuatan propil asetat dilakukan dengan proses hidrogenasi alil asetat, dimana uap alil asetat direaksikan dengan gas hidrogen di dalam Reaktor (R-01) pada temperatur 185ºC dan tekanan 8 bar. Katalis yang digunakan ialah Palladium dengan support carbon. Reaksi yang terjadi adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Reaksi Hidrogenasi Alil Asetat C5H8O2 + H2 ↔ C5H10O2 2. Reaksi Isomerisasi Alil Asetat C5H8O2 ↔ trans- C5H8O2 3. Reaksi Hidrogenolisis Alil Asetat C5H8O2 + 2H2 ↔ CH3COOH + C3H8 Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan yang berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff, yang dipimpin oleh seorang direktur utama dengan jumlah karyawan sebanyak 219 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, maka pabrik pembuatan Propil Asetat ini dinyatakan layak untuk didirikan dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut: a. Annual Cash Flow = US$ 59,518,065.38 b. Penjualan per Tahun = US$ 304,119,193.00 c. Total Production Cost = US$ 204,832,843.44 d. Pay out Time = 2 Tahun e. Rate of Return Investment = 46,99% f. Break Even Point = 37,60% g. Service Life = 11 Tahun
