Abstract
This study examines the Evaluation of Market Waste Transport Activities in Sarolangun Regency, Jambi Province in 2019. Problem in this study is the lack of operational facilities and infrastructure for dump truck transporting garbage. This study aims to determine and assess how waste transportation activies in Sarolangun Regency are managed by the Department of Housing, Settlement and Land Affairs, Sarolangun Regency. This study uses the theory of management functions proposed by George R. Terry which includes four activites of planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research methods data collection are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the market waste transportation activities in Sarolangun Regency that have been carried out have not been able to run well this can be seen from the analysis based on the theoretical indicators put forward by George R. Terry there are inhibiting factors in market waste transportation activies namely the number of operational means of transporting waste provided is not propotional to the amount of waste in the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS). Based on the results it can be used as an in market waste transportation activities by increasing the number of waste transportion operatations and community participation in protecting the environment.
