Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the use of capital letters in invitation letters written by fifth grade students of SDN 6 Banyuasin III Academic Year 2022/2023. This research is descriptive qualitative . The subjects in this study were students of class VA and VB at SDN 6 Banyuasin III. The data collection technique is done by means of documentation. The results of the documentation show that there are still errors in the use of capital letters in classes VA and VB, where the overall error percentage rate reaches 5.22% or in the very good category. the percentage of errors reached 10.91% or in the very good category. Key Worlds : use of capital letters and punctuation Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan huruf kapital pada surat undangan yang ditulis oleh peserta didik kelas V SDN 6 Banyuasin III Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif . subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VA dan VB SDN 6 Banyuasin III. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara dokumentasi. Hasil dokumentasi menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat kesalahan dalam penggunaan huruf kapital pada kelas VA dan VB, dimana secara keseluruhan tingkat persentase kesalahan mencapai 5,22% atau dalam kategori baik sekali.dan kesalahan dalam penggunaan tanda baca pada kelas VA dan VB, dimana secara keseluruhan tingkat persentase kesalahan mencapai 10,91% atau dalam kategori baik sekali. Kata Kunci : Penggunaan Huruf Kapital dan Tanda Baca
