Abstract
This study aims to produce chemistry questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on valid and reliable Chemical Equilibrium Materials and to determine the level of difficulty and distinguishing power of the items that have been developed. The development model used in this research is the Mc. The core consists of 10 stages. The use of Pearson's product moment formula to determine the level of validation of the items that have been developed. Based on the results of expert validation analysis on aspects of construction, material, and language, it shows that the 11 description questions that have been developed are declared valid with an average value of very high category validity of 0.872 and deserves to be tested. Meanwhile, based on the results of the test analysis, it was obtained that 11 description questions that had been developed were declared valid with an average validity value of 0.791 (high validity), an average reliability value of 0.907 (very high correlation), and an average item difficulty score of 0.22 (difficult), and the average value of discriminating power is 0.38 (enough).
