Abstract

Uneven electricity installation can hamper the development of a country, especially electricity in remote areas. Decision support system is a system that is able to provide problem-solving ability for decision making. The current electricity installation cannot be carried out efficiently, because it has not been able to determine the priority of the region that will get the electricity installed first. This study uses the Technique for Order of Preference method by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to produce decisions on which areas will get electrical installations first. The choice of using TOPSIS is obtained by finding alternative regions that have the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and the farthest distance from the negative ideal solution. The results of this study have an accuracy of 81.81% against sorting which is done manually.
