Abstract

The purpose of this development research is 1) to describe the results of the analysis the needs of students and teachers for YouTube-based learning videosaccording to teachers and students of class VIII MTs Fastabiqul Khairot Labuh Air Pandan, 2) describe the results of the validation of YouTube-based learning video mediain learning to write advertising text. Development model used is the ADDIE model that has been modified from 5 stages to 3 stages, namelyanalysis (Analysis), design (Design), and development (Development).Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques,questionnaires, and expert validation sheets. Indonesian language learning media based onYouTube on the developed ad text writing material already meets Eligible/valid criteria are used for class VIII SMP/MTs students. Rating resultmaterial by the validator obtained a value of 96.1% with the criteria "very valid". Results media assessment by expert validators obtained 73.2% with "valid" criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the video-based learning media YouTube in writing ad text is suitable for use in learning to write ad text.
