Abstract

Making a nursing care report is generally still manual by writing on a nursing assessment sheet. There are several shortcomings of nursing care reports that are made manually, namely increasing paperwork, reducing communication, and taking a long time to write reports from assessment to nursing evaluation. This research aims to create an android-based applicattion that can be used as a guide to making palliative nursing care for cancer patients that focus on physical and social problems. This research used a research and development (R&D) method with a quantitative approach and ADDIE development model. Samples of this research took 15 nursing students from the class of 2018 with a purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by a questionnaire that shares after operating the paker application. The results of the usability testing got a score of 83, which indicates that this application is categorized as excellent and can be accepted or suitable for use. The maneuver of Android-based applications is considered more practical and easy to use than web applications. This application may be used as a learning medium for students will focus more on studying interventions and implementing implementation. The paker application should be through development to be perfect.
