Abstract

The title of this research is "Implementation of Social Disaster Management Policies for Victims Affected by Fire in Palembang City". This research was motivated by the limited number of taganas, frequent inaccuracies of data, lack of community participation in psychosocial support service activities and persuading victims to relocate to settlements. The purpose of this research is to find out how to implement social disaster management policies for victims affected by fire in Palembang city. Qualitative research approach with descriptive method; data collection is done by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of policy implementation from George C. Edward III, namely communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. The results showed that the implementation of social disaster management policies for victims affected by fire in the city of Palembang had not run optimally in the sub-aspects of staff resources, facilities and fragmentation, but in the communication aspect, disposition had run optimally. Suggestions that can be given from the results of the research are that the number of members should be added so that when helping victims at the location of fire victims there is no shortage of members, improve asset facilities so that more vehicles are used to distribute aid, and the agency should make a letter of agreement with the agencies involved.
