Abstract

Perubahan iklim merupakan tantangan terbesar sebagai permasalahan global yang menjadi ancaman utama setiap negara di dunia saat ini. Peningkatan suhu udara rata-rata global sejak pertengahan abad ke-20 kemungkinan besar disebabkan oleh meningkatnya konsentrasi gas rumah kaca akibat aktivitas manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan fisika universitas sriwijaya terhadap perubahan iklim. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket semi-terstruktur, menggunakan metode kuisioner campuran (terbuka dan tertutup). Data dikumpulkan dari 39 mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah fisika lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 50% mahasiswa Pendidikan fisika benrpendapat bahwa perubahan iklim merupakan permasalaahn serius, 47,8 % mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa bahwa perubahan iklim disebabkan oleh meningkatnya CO2akibat efek rumah kaca yang menyebabkan penipisan lapisan ozon. Sedangkan lebih dari 50 % mahasiswa salah memahami dampak aktivitas gunung berapi terhadap perubahan iklim. Kata Kunci : Persepsi, Perubahan iklim, Pemanasan global
