Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic that has engulf since March 2020 has caused various activities to be diverted online, including in the education sector. YPI Tunas Bangsa High School Palembang has never conducted online learning activities and does not yet have an e-learning system. To make teaching and learning activities easier, an e-learning system is needed that can provide comfort and convenience for its users, so user experience design is needed. Design thinking is a method used to design user experience of e-learning information systems by stating problems and providing design solution ideas in the form of prototypes. The prototype design was then tested using the usability testing method, namely using task scenario, system usability scale (SUS) questionnaire and user experience questionnaire (UEQ) to find out whether the solution idea was able to solve the problems experienced. The test results using task scenario obtained the learnability and efficiency level for both teacher and student users, namely 100% and 0.04 goals/sec, the satisfaction level using SUS, for teacher users earned value of 93 with acceptability in the acceptable category, grade scale A, adjective rating in the best imaginable category, for student users earned value of 85 with acceptability in the acceptable category, grade scale B, adjective rating in the excellent category. The user experience score using UEQ, for teacher and student users is above 2.0 in all categories which means it represents a positive evaluation and it can be concluded that the e-learning prototype design has had a good user experience.
